My Little Girl Is Growing Up

April 10th was my daughters 10th Birthday. For weeks she been trying to gather the courage to get her ears pierced, but could never quite go through with it. She had talked tome about and all I could say was well it can't hurt to bad as every lady gets them pierced at some time in their life. That sealed the deal with her. It was her Birthday and she was finally in "double digits" as she said, and was ready.

So, Mom scheduled an appointment with Charlies Corner here in town and off we went.Yes me to, you don't think I would miss a photo opportunity like this do you? I doubt I will be asked to go if she ever decides to pierce anything else on her body, God forbid! She had also called her grandmother and told her what she was going to do, well grandma beat us to the salon as she had to witness this milestone as well.

I kept waiting for her to back out or start crying and we all know us dads don't do well when crocodile tears start pouring from their daughters eye's, but she just sat down picked out the earrings she wanted and was ready. OK a few tears flowed right after the piercing, but she received a big hug and a kiss and some candy from one of the operators and all was great! Compliments to both young ladies that helped her through this you guys were wonderful!
