Arkansas Wedding Photography * Shea + Chris, DeGray Lake

DeGray Lake is one of the better known recreational Lakes in Arkansas. Every summer thousands of boaters, campers, golfer come here to get away from it all. For me, it was chance to shoot Shea and Chris' wedding at the DeGray lodge. Shea was all set to have spring outdoor wedding on the Lake she spent many hours at as a child. Driving up from El Dorado that morning I was wondering if she would get her wish as it began raining and the forecast did not look good. I arrived at the Lodge and began shooting the prep shots all the while talking with mom and trying to hide the fact from Shea it was pouring outside and her dream wedding might be moved indoors. Then we caught a break. About an hour before the ceremony the rains stopped. Crews began wiping down the chairs and I began getting everyone together for as many out door group shots as we could get before the ceremony. As you can see Shea had her dream wedding and Mother Nature gave us a break that day. As now sooner had we finished up the after ceremony group shots and went inside for the reception the rain came down again. It's nice when things work out once in a while!
